Before the earthquake in April 2015 we placed volunteers in Goljung village in the Langtang National Park. Langtang is a mountainous region and Goljung village sits at 1,967m above sea level. This part of Nepal was badly affected by the earthquake and is only now getting ready to take volunteers again. Living with a local family you will teach English at the local school, spend time with the village children and support the local community. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the Tamang culture and Buddhist religion in a rural setting, high in the Himalaya mountains.
